The street forgets. FLANEUR doesn’t: sessions, routes and spots in your photo diary, golden hour on your home screen, badges that pull you outside.
01 · OUT THERE
Every walk becomes a session.
Start a walk and FLANEUR records your route on the map, with smart battery saving and GPX export. Sun times sit right on the map, so you always know where the light stands.
Pin spots as you pass them. Back home, your walks, routes and sessions line up city by city.
02 · MORE
The app that points at the door.
You don’t get better at street photography by reading about it. You get better by going out. FLANEUR is built to make that happen more often.
Never chase the light blind again.
Golden hour countdown, widget and reminder, right on your home screen. You’re outside before the light peaks, not after.
Badges that pull you outside.
Over 70 badges, nine milestone ladders, daily streaks. From your first session to GOAT status, plus a monthly recap you can share.
03 · BETTER
Honest numbers. Honest notes.
In street photography, a keeper rate of 1 to 5 % is completely normal. FLANEUR shows you the honest numbers of your practice, so you can see yourself improve.
Every session, logged in seconds.
Photos, keepers, place, camera, lens, film. Your keeper rate tells you the truth, and the truth is where you get better.
Write what you saw. Or say it.
A daily prompt, moods, hashtags and voice notes that become text, processed on your device. Keep a diary of your life, not just your shots, and collect notes to capture and plan everything around your photography.
04 · TRAVEL
Plan the trip before you land.
Street photography doesn’t stop at your front door. Build a trip in FLANEUR: a shot list of the moments you’re after, saved spots and new places on the map, areas you want to roam, sun times for every day you’re there.
Pack from templates: photo gear straight from your gear list, personal items too. Keep notes on ideas, themes and story angles. When you arrive, the plan is in your pocket, and you check off shots as you shoot.
Your gear, on file
Cameras, lenses, film. Log which kit shot which session, and pack from it for every trip.

Frequently asked questions
What does FLANEUR cost?
The app is free to download, with no subscription and no ads. Walks, spots, sessions, the journal, trips, goals, quotes, widgets and the starter deck are free. Four extras are one-time purchases: the Sun Compass for €1.99, the Street Deck for €7.99, and the Light & Shadow and Approach decks for €4.99 each. Outside the eurozone, the store shows local prices.
Why is there no community in FLANEUR?
Do you really need another place to prove yourself? You're probably on Instagram already, in a few groups and forums, with plenty of likes to count. In FLANEUR nobody is watching. You go out to shoot and look honestly at what you brought home. Your keeper rate is yours alone, and so is a bad day on the street. Without an audience you try more, and you learn from the pictures that don't work. If you want to show something, send a trip to a friend or share your month as a card.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and Android phones with Android 13 or later.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no password. Purchases go through your Apple ID or your Google account.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. On iPhone, FLANEUR keeps a copy in your private iCloud. On Android, you can back it up to your own Google Drive. I don't run any servers, and I can't see your data. Maps and place search come from Apple on iPhone and from Google on Android. The weather comes from Open-Meteo.
Does it work offline?
You can record a walk without a connection, and the same goes for spots, sessions, the journal and your trips. The map, place search and weather need a connection.
Which languages is it available in?
English and German. The app follows your phone's language, or you can pick one in the settings.
